Star Bags cover the full range of filter media for any temperature and any chemical environment.

With over 100 years experience in industrial textiles Albany International uses the more efficient fabrics in the manufacturing of the Star Bags.

In Albany we use sewing techniques capable to convert almost any textile fabric into a Star Bag

We can use low temperature fabrics as needled polypropylene. Our standard fabric weights 15 oz/square yard (515 gsm) and is good for aggressive chemical conditions at temperatures below 200 F (94 C).

Our special needled polyester can take up to 310 F (154 C) for short periods of time and 285 F (140 C) continuously and will resist even in high moisture conditions. Albany needled techniques and fiber blend together with the special finish applied to 100% of the fibers allow our 16oz needled polyester to pass the EPA’s ETV PM2.5 test.

Coated fabrics as Primalcell 1600, our special high efficiency coating to needled polyester and needled acrylic fabrics or expanded PTFE membrane coated fabrics can be sewn into Star Bags to take advantage of the maximum particle filtration efficiency.

Needled or woven fabrics of Nomex™, P-84TM, PPS, HuyglasTM, Conex™fiber glass, PTFE (TeflonTM) can be converted in Star Bags.
