| Specialty Weaving Techniweave Inc. has been actively involved in specialty weaving since its inception in 1983. Specialty weaving can include weaving special "non-standard" fibers and/or novel weave constructions. Fiber that are routinely woven include standard, intermediate, and high modulus carbon fiber, aramid, glass, quartz, and ceramic fibers. We have established weaving standard for more than 250 fabric styles that are repetitively woven. Weave constructions can range from simple single layer, two directional (2D) fabrics to multi-layer three directional (3D) fabrics. Complex shapes, such as seamless radome conical socks, can be woven on our Jacquard weaving equipment. Other complex shapes constructions include Techniweave's patented gap filler weaves suitable for reinforcing "T" and "X" intersections in composite laminates, flutes core fabrics where three fabric layers are integrally woven resulting in a corrugated like structure, and seamless single layer and multi-layer tubes. Our equipment is capable of producing continuous roll lengths of tapes as narrow as 1/4" to as wide as 72 inches. We are known for our willingness to do short runs for research & development and prototyping applications. We often prepare a loom to weave multiple samples and maintain that loom set up while the customer conducts tests to dictate the next experiment. It is this type of engineering support and customer service that has resulted in a loyal and satisfied customer base.
