AEC’s composite products, including our 3D reinforced composite components, are produced entirely in-house.  We utilize highly automated manufacturing equipment, such as electronically controlled Jacquard weaving machines, for most of our preform production and molding processes as suitable for each final product:

AEC’s processes combine a number of fabrication and production technologies, including:

  • Multiple molding, curing and composite processes, including RTM, VaRTM, autoclave, press, compression & oven cure processes

  • Jacqaurd weaving to produce 3D woven, complex near net shape geometry, steered woven, and contour woven preforms

  • Conventional and non-conventional laminate preform and prepreg layups

  • Reinforced sandwich structure production technology and tools

  • Braiding technology

  • Discrete through thickness reinforcement technologies

  • Weaving and curing of high performance materials
