Safety Guides Us in Everything We Do

Albany International Corp. is committed to providing a safe and healthy workplace for all
employees, with the aim of achieving an accident-, illness-, and injury-free environment.

At Albany International, safety is more than just a top priority.  We’re working to imbed safety as a core value at the heart of our company culture, one that guides us in everything we do.

We’re continually improving the safety of our workplaces through programs such as hazard identification and control, risk assessment, company-wide standards, and capital investments in equipment and process improvements. Safety is fully integrated into our lean manufacturing systems and is the cornerstone of our global process training program.

We also insist upon personal accountability for safety by all employees. That message begins at new employee orientation, is reinforced by annual refresher training and regular safety “one-point lessons”, and is best highlighted by our adoption of a set of fundamental safety absolutes. And while we rely on our managers to be leaders and role models of safety, we also expect all employees to be actively engaged in assuring their own and their colleagues’ safety.

We believe all accidents are preventable, and that the journey to safety excellence is unending.  Our goal is simply this:  we want all our employees, and all visitors to our facilities, to go home healthy and unharmed at the end of each work day.  Nothing is more important.
