AEC Extends Lockheed Martin Contract for JASSM and LRASM Missile Programs

AEC's Salt Lake City facility will continue producing composite components for two of the U.S. military's most critical long-range strike weapons.

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Albany International Corp. (NYSE: AIN) announced that Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) has been awarded multiyear contract extensions from Lockheed Martin's Missiles & Fire Control division to continue supporting the JASSM and LRASM missile programs out of its Salt Lake City, Utah facility.

AEC produces unique composite components for both programs using advanced braiding and resin transfer molding technologies. JASSM (Joint Air-to-Surface Standoff Missile) and LRASM (Long Range Anti-Ship Missile) are among the U.S. military's most relied-upon long-range precision strike weapons, making the supply chain behind them a matter of real strategic importance.

The contract extensions reflect an existing relationship between AEC and Lockheed that spans multiple fixed-wing fighter aircraft, rotorcraft, and missile programs. AEC President Chris Stone noted the company looks forward to exploring additional opportunities to support Lockheed with advanced composite components across its portfolio.

Albany Engineered Composites designs and manufactures advanced composite components for commercial and military aircraft, missiles, and unmanned vehicles. A subsidiary of Albany International Corp. (NYSE: AIN).
