Albany Engineered Composites Achieves CMMC Level 2 Certification
AEC joins the first 1% of Department of War suppliers to earn the certification, strengthening its position as a trusted defense partner.
PORTSMOUTH, N.H. Albany International Corp. (NYSE: AIN) announced that its subsidiary Albany Engineered Composites (AEC) has achieved Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC) Level 2 through an accredited third-party assessment organization. The certification is a prerequisite for defense contractors looking to work on a wide range of Department of War programs.
Of the roughly 80,000 suppliers required to earn CMMC Level 2, AEC is among the first one percent to do so. That's a meaningful distinction. Early certification positions AEC as an already-approved, strategic supplier for next-generation military fixed-wing, hypersonic, missile, and rotorcraft programs at a time when the defense supply chain is under increasing scrutiny.
The certification confirms that AEC meets the enhanced cybersecurity requirements needed to protect Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), adhering to 110 security practices aligned with NIST Special Publication 800-171.
Albany Engineered Composites designs and manufactures advanced composite components for commercial and military aircraft, missiles, and unmanned vehicles. A subsidiary of Albany International Corp. (NYSE: AIN).
