Albany Engineered Composites Receives Pratt & Whitney Engine Component Contract Through 2036

PORTSMOUTH, N.H. — Mar. XX, 2026 — Albany Engineered Composites (AEC), a subsidiary of Albany International Corp. (NYSE: AIN), has received a contract from Pratt & Whitney, an RTX business (NYSE: RTX), to produce composite structural engine components for the commercial aviation Pratt & Whitney Geared Turbofan (GTFTM) engine through 2036.

“We are honored to be selected by Pratt & Whitney for this critical composite engine content. This award reflects their confidence in AEC’s ability to deliver high-volume, high-precision composite structures with consistency and excellence,” said Chris Stone, president of AEC. “It marks a major milestone in our partnership and underscores the strength of our operational performance, our technology and our people.”

More than 56,000 composite components will be delivered over the life of the contract using AEC’s resin transfer molding and autoclave manufacturing processes at its Querétaro, Mexico facility. The award marks AEC’s first volume production program with Pratt & Whitney and expands the company’s portfolio of complex composite engine structures for the aerospace industry.

“Our strategy is simple: perform for Pratt & Whitney and grow,” said Jeff Daniel, vice president of the commercial segment at AEC. “We expect this agreement to support a broader relationship between our companies and create additional opportunities leveraging AEC’s advanced technologies and manufacturing capabilities.”

As of June 2025, Pratt & Whitney reports more than 12,000 orders and commitments for the GTF engine from more than 90 customers worldwide.
